India’s reason to Joy: Festivals and Carnivals

Joy of Celebrations
India is a country known for the amalgamation of many cultures and societies spoken with approximately 20,000 languages and following different customs and traditions. However, the country is uniquely named for the Hindu religion, but still, almost all religions of the world can be found here. About 121 crores population of the country in every few kilometers, there can be found new things to explore. The country’s heritage is full of surprises and colors which keep people jovial and excited throughout the year.

As per the zones divided east, west, north, north-central, and south, different festivals are celebrated across the year. Here, every month comes with the preparations for the celebration of a new festival and carnival. Most of the festivals are based on mythological heritage or historical events. And fill life with more social and ceremonial gatherings. These festivals and carnivals give people a reason to smile and enjoy. And almost all festivals are celebrated in the glory of God. There are a few of them that are Holi, Diwali, Dussehra, Durga Puja, Navratra, Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Chaturthi Janmashtami, Shiv Ratri, Pongal, etc.

The carnivals are also the splendor of India. Which makes the entire environment colorful and enjoyable. The brightness and crowd at the carnivals create a luster of life in such a social manner that makes everybody feel happy and excited about the event. A few of the carnivals names are Sankranti, Kumbh, Kanwad Mela, Taj Mahotsav, Goa Festival, Konark festival, etc.

And the National Festivals of Independence Day 15th August and Republic Day of 26th January are the most important and special days for the entire nation, which is celebrated in every part of the country with full zeal and excitement without any differences by showing gratitude to our beloved freedom fighters, who have lost their lives for providing ourself this free and protected life with peaceful nights of sleep, which can be also felt by the little kids. Because they feel great to be born in India.

However, India is on a stage of rapid development, but yet there is a lack of a source of amusement places and entertainment for general people in the country. And people seek their life’s happiness in their traditional ways. Apart from that, they also do celebrate their life’s major events as great celebrations to feel a sense of excitement and cordial happiness like marriage, childbirth, home-entrance, and family functions, etc.

These trends of festivals and carnivals help in the mental well-being of people. The customs and rituals associated with these ceremonies keep people’s spirits high and delighted. The temples and markets being full of public presence make the ambiance of social gatherings of people to share their joys and sorrows with each other and meet their long-distance or seen long before fellows. These socializing helps in bringing people close together despite different societies, caste, and communities and incorporates the sentiments of unity with each other.

Apart from that, these festivals and carnivals support majorly in the economy to keep going and provide employment for many people. Every festival and carnival has used a different kind of stuff for traditional and religious purposes, which comes in the market by new production for fulfilling the demand of people. Like on Diwali, the lamps, crackers, God’s idols, Dussehra toys of children consisting of Ram Ravan’s weapon’s Bow&Arrow, an effigy of Ravan which used to be burnt signifying the victory of good over evil. Flying kites and on Raksha Bandhan the beautiful handcuffs of threads for tying the knot on brother’s hands, praying for their well-being and protection throughout their life, etc. And sweets and edibles are already part of every auspicious and happy occasion. In this way, the entire year keeps people busy with full-time work in profiting their business and jobs.

Along with that, the country is known as the name of religion as a Hindu Rashtra, but it is respectful of all religions and communities and gives ample space for feelings and sentiments of all religions by celebrating and contributing in other religious festivals also like Eid of Muslims, Sikh’s and Christmas of Christians, Jain religion, Baudhh, etc. People take part in their friends' and fellows' celebrations equally that brings the spirit of togetherness of humanity apart from belonging to different religions and communities. That’s why India has been known for “Unity in Diversity” for many years.

Although there are hidden enemies of the country who also exist who are traitors and perpetrators of but before the unity and power of the country, they cannot harm the nation because the spirit of the faithful people is so high that can thrash any hurdle of our own country.

Moreover, we can say that festivals and carnivals are the heart and soul of India which have always kept people human and kind to each other by giving them a sense of cooperation and the same identity to be an Indian, a citizen of India first and afterward their religion, caste, community or society. No matter how many internal problems are facing, they are in life.+++++++++++++

Covid 19- Current Effect on India

India- Battling for Life -
Shattered Life by Pandemic

In 2019 world has encountered a threat to human life by entering Coronavirus in the entire world, Even the superior powers of the world did not remain intact from the virus’s severe effect. The waves of the virus timely affecting the different parts of the world. And at present in 2021 the virus 2nd wave has hit the most to India, which has the second-largest population in the world. The country is in a horrible stage of fear and gloom. The people are isolated and dejected from society. In this lockdown scenario and staying at home is the only way to be safe and untouched from the infection.

But on the other side, the number of deaths in every city and state is scoring high every day, and people are dying with a sudden attack of virus, The pictures are gruesome all around with the running ambulances and police cars. Crematoriums and graveyards are also full of day and night-coming corpses to last rituals. Hospitals are occupied with a continued number of screaming patients seeking help. The crisis of lack of oxygen and essential medicines has created trauma in patients.

The people who are still untouched by the virus are also in depression by seeing the news about the matter, and people who have lost their loved ones are also disheartened through the unwanted disaster. The losses are unexplainable in words. How the people are losing their lives without getting the time to think even for the next chance.

On the other side the effect of the situation on poor people have made them unemployed and without wages. Many people are jobless and in a critical state of economic crisis. They are going through so much worse times for their daily bread and butter and struggling with the situation for their livelihood. Markets are closed, roads are empty, there is all around silence in day time like no other choice for life.

Schools, colleges, and universities have been closed and postponed their essential schedules of examinations. Children are bound to study from their homes through online sources.

This pandemic has changed the people’s mind like they forget to laugh and only vibrations of grief is visible among them all around. The luster of the fashionable life has gone and turn into sadness. Life has been so scary like, who knows he or she can be the next target. People are begging for their lives and praying for their loved ones.

There is so much admiration for those people who have come as volunteers in this critical time saving many lives and supporting needy people without any greed and selfishness. Many courageous people have high contributions at this time to provide the best as per their worth.

However, In most parts of the country people have a casual attitude by trespassing the rules of lockdown, they are still living like social butterflies by getting married, involved in processions and social gatherings without fearing the dying from the pandemic. They are unknown by the severity of the situation that overpopulated India is most vulnerable to spread the infection among a large number of people.

The origin of the virus in China and the reason of that can be political or biological, but the effect is facing general innocent people, who are ignorant about the threat of that biological weapon, The extending number of dying people every day is frightening and making us contemplating our mistakes we commit for inviting this situation. The carelessness and lack of hygiene in daily routine make people more vulnerable to infection. The virus is so fierce that it has also infected few animals, It is flowing in the air and expected to found in water.

Life has become so difficult to comprehend the measures to avoid infection because ‘man is a social animal’ and it can not live without social activities and ‘give & take’, even our food and water is suspected to be prone to virus. Many people are taking household remedies to avoid the virus and increasing immunity like having particular food and herbs e.g. Basil, Neem, lemon, ginger, turmeric, etc., and steam. But the authenticity of these remedies is not proved.

The country is passing through so critical time that has unpredictable tomorrow, how the situation can be overcome from this catastrophe has no clue. The dependability on vaccination and medical facilities also in question, because till yet there is no confirmed remedy is discovered. Only the basis of symptoms the medical treatment is being provided by the doctors,

However, little hope is associated with the vaccination but the study of emerging new variants and mutations in the virus is of high concern. The future is unpredictable that when we can be liberated from this crisis and return to our previous life mode.

The virus has taught us the lesson of discipline and isolation to get introspection into our lives. The psychological healing, optimistic approach with a positive attitude can be helpful for saving ourselves and coming out of this melancholy.

In the end, saving our environment from polluting this virus is also a big question, the bad habits of rustic people who have a lack of discipline and civic sense need to be controlled by imposing high fines on them like they use to spit anywhere and throwing garbage in opens. This kind of practice is harmful to everyone and to nature.

The other concern is the effect of spreading the virus through dead bodies from this pandemic. Because of not the proper disposal of corpses dying of the pandemic is also puts a question mark on our safety. Maintaining hygiene in ourselves and our environment is the most important factor to get rid of this transmission. Discipline and distance are the norms to be followed in this situation.

Obsession for Cinema

Celebrities are not Ideal

Today’s world is surrounded by all the lifestyle aspects associated with cinema, however cinema’s history is not so ancient to take it as a human evolution but it is taken as human civilization. It has a major impact on society since it came into existence in the later years of the 18th century with the new innovation of motion pictures on canvas. Since then it has developed as a mirror of human life to create an overview of society generation by generation. It has provided a platform for thoughts and events to be living as a new world.

But how authentic is the information we go through and access it? The forefront of pictures are totally different from what is created in the background of the pictures we see. We see on-screen what we are provided to see by other's acceptance. A few years back when the digital platform for media was not incepted the whole things look like a dream world. People used to follow them like a fantasy of life. The Hindi cinema was full of melodies songs and enchanting stories. All the people were inadvertently followers of the lifestyles and fashions adopted by cinema stars.

However, in the beginning, Indian cinema was not considered a respected profession especially for women but with the span of passing time, it has made its space in society as a prestigious profession. And the stars and workers have been highly paid for the work they do. And the impact on the society and everyone is as on like even a little kid knows their favorite stars name and follow their acts and fashions. The influence of cinema on people has become more than any other part of society.

Moreover, Now in the year 2020 has come with unmasking the dark side of the cinema of Bollywood, which was unseen before, after the demise of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The event has proved to be an eye-opener and awaken alarm for the general people of society, who blindly faith their favorite stars and idealize them. The reality of anything can be gruesome than anything we observe in the forefront.

After the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood has been uncovered with the bitter truth hidden behind the enchanting screen performances. There are few courageous people who have dared to speak against the wrongdoings of the people of the cinema industry. The drama of connections with drugs activities and other illegal activities has been shocked people, who were previously crazy about the Bollywood. The connections with the political people and power sources, like gangsters, gamblers, criminals, and the underworld of the people have made Bollywood shine like no other profession. The industry is the highest paying industry, which makes the people rich in a short while in a few years like no other industry can make. The people get names, fame, money everything in Bollywood in a very short while.

It creates wonders for the people. The people from small towns and villages make them ideal to live their life-like them. They learned to dance, dialogue, and fashion, like them without knowing the reality of the dark side of this glazing industry.  The murders, crimes, illegal activities, exploitation, and anti-human things in the industry shows the real face of people, who shines on the silver screen, and people use to follow them enthusiastically.

It’s a major threat to our incoming generations where children are highly vulnerable to get trapped by these glitters of the celebrities, which can ruin their whole life and corrupt their ideology about society. Because whatever they see in the cinema they adopt it in real life and spread it on the surroundings with that kind of social elements. Which can be harmful for their life as well as for the whole nation.  There is no doubt that the news of the reliable sources shows that, the smart people from the industry like Ekta Kapoor , Karan Johar, Salman Khan, etc.  are all serving society a very unscrupulous entertainment material, which is detrimental for the renaissance of society. Actually, they don’t have their own creative ideas either they steal from foreign shows and movies or find it from unworthy people. And serves it with all “mirch-masala” of promiscuity.

The conclusion is, it is your duty to save our children from the influence of these kinds of people so make them mentally strong by guiding them towards the right ways to protect their soul from getting contaminated by nasty things. and teach them the silver screen is the place of entertainment, not rules to follow in real life. Because real life has lots to do with things apart from materialistic ventures, which is the beauty of the real world.

Influence of Cinema Upon us

Cinema Enchant Us
Reality of Cinema-Reflection of Society

The most valuable and incredible thing given by this century to our generation is technology, media and cinema. There is no doubt the silver screen rules our life. In today’s scenario every aspect and every phase of life are influenced by cinema, stars and celebrities. No matter what other things we know about the world. But we all know much about our favourite stars. We all like to imitate them and follow them like they are the ideal of our life. The entire generation is so fascinated by the stars of the silver screen that we want to know everything about their life.

Since childhood we have used to wondering about their styles and the way they present in the world. We like to wear like stars, eat like stars, want to follow the  lifestyle of stars and behave like stars, even follows the culture of filmstars. The screen life influences our psychology so much. That some people adopt the gestures of some favourite personalities and feel so happy about their resemblance with the film stars. Our neuro system gets too much induced by the screen events and incidents that they directly affect on our brain. Specially the youth gets so much fantasized by the lives of their favourite stars, where they associated them with the screen events in a realistic way. There were many cases of elopement of youngsters noticed who were reached to meet their favourite stars or become a film star to Bollywood.

Moreover, what we see in the movies and cinema, its correlate us with our real life, and impact on our brain so deeply that our nerves gets synchronize with the events and start creating the scenario around us. Cinema was originated by the reason to recreation for society. But with the span of time it took over lives of people where it has become a reflection and representation of our society and affairs. The cinema  connects us on the global level to be aware of the different knowledgeable and mundane tasks.

The most special thing which I found about the Indian cinema different to others is Indian movies are full of songs and music, which really enchants anyone on a heart level. We have grown up since childhood listening to filmi songs either on radio, TV or other devices. The songs impact our mood swings depending on the rhythm. Whenever we listen the songs or any music it immediately draws our attention towards that. And make us overwhelmed with the emotional meaning of songs. The main ingredient of Hindi cinema is dance and music, which is to be used for commercial success of movies and called to be full masala movies.

However,  about foreign countries they are very specialised about the topic of the movie, whether it is romance, horror, thriller, drama, comedy, fiction, historic event, etc. In their films there is no music and dance in the mid of the stories, which makes their movies very much story-central. Their movies are very knowledgeable and  information based. Which are great source of brain-storming of our youth, while the Hindi movies are full of misguiding information and unrealistic events, which spoils our growing generation's mind. The childhood and adolescence part are very sensitive part of life, which is easily vulnerable to outer effects. And bothers us a lot.

Especially the obscenity and corruption shown in the movies affect our society on a very deep level. The many criminals or anti-social elements are inspired by the cinema to commit heinous crimes. However, the films are also made by the idea of real stories taken from society. But the effects happen to be vice-versa, society to films or films to society. In today’s world life is not limited to only cinema but there are other sources of media like TV channels, the internet, mobiles and all digital technology, which is the part of everybody’s life makes everyone keeps moving in the world affairs.

It is necessary to know for everyone the difference between cinematic life and realistic life. The cinema is for entertainment purposes, where stories and events are created artificially to entertain the people or tell the people. While in real-life events and happenings are made on a self-regulated basis. The children should be properly guided about the cinema world and real world and pros and cons of cinema life to save their childhood and youth to prevent them from deviating from their original route.

The life of cinema people is entirely different from other people. Their knowledge and earnings are very well compared to other people in our society. They have sources to reach, where they want to be but normal people have different struggles to save their existence and survival. So everybody should be aware to come out of the illusion of cinema life and be original and authentic as they are meant to be. The following and idealising the film stars can not be beneficial for them. Because the cinema is a profession for them for what they are known to be. But an individual everyone is unique and comprises their own capabilities and possibilities.

So the people should come out of fantasies of the cinema world and accept the reality as they are. The fashion, flaunting and splurging can help for the short-term but in the end we need to be the original in order to make our space in the society.

Gender Menace: A Threat to Society

Gender Menace: A Threat to Society
The Biased Social System

In this era, we are supposed to be more civilized, wise, and advanced with the use of technology, knowledge, and resources. We endeavor to grow in every area of life by applying the use of luxuries, comforts, and amenities to modernize ourselves with the entire world. But is it not true, that our approach towards life still needs to be revised, refined and reformalized. Still our vision towards the basic fundamentals of life is so obscure and unethical.

We are still not able to understand our identity and position in this world on the basis of our authentication with nature. We are just proud to be part of a social being. The Male and Female two counterparts of our society fight to prove themselves better to each other without accepting the equal part of society. And this perverted and sick mentality is manifesting in society in the form of brutal rape and exploitation cases and heinous crimes

Rather than approving each other's necessity in our life we have conflict on the basis of the few organs of the body, where the reproductive organs of the body are only different in male and female body. And in some developed countries, it is common to change the gender anytime from the few medical treatments.

And disaster of the body has come in such a gruesome form that crime has taken place in our mind, heart and soul towards each other. Who has sown this kind of seeds in our blood. Were they our ancestors? who manipulated our rights and power on the basis of gender. Didn’t they teach us to respect the other gender being a part of their own being.

Why manhood has become so violent and lecherous for the body of women. Do our religion have sown these seeds in human kind, which makes us two poles apart from each other on the basis of lust and sexuality. Do man are not born from the women's womb. What kind of psychology our 51% of men’s population keeps in their mind and for why.?

Did God come on earth to decide guidelines, customs and rituals for the women in society? Did he determine what kind of clothes women have to wear, how they have to behave and what will be the destiny of her life. Who gave these authorities to man to differentiate the human kind?
It is difficult to understand the biology of the men, what makes them too lusty and curious to know about the body of the women, what attracts them and stimulates them to commit such kind of heinous crime out of humanity. Do men realize and analyze themselves? Don’t they have fear of God or honor of society.

Rape was the familiar crime from the earliest part of society, but how the Gang rape has come into fashion in this century, Is this the side effect of information technology or frustrated men’s libido in the long ago. What kind of fantasies swim in men’s minds, which they like to visualize. I am not saying that all the women are completely fair but who gave the men right to rape and murder them.

Do our cinema is responsible for spreading such kind of fascination in society, that is impossible to control for the men, what they mostly describe as the tool of their defense, blaming clothes of women or roaming with boyfriends and partners on the roads. It is essential to understand the psychology of the men. What they want from the women.

What kind of education they are getting in the schools or at their homes from their elders. Who taught them to be greater and better on the basis of their gender. Discipline and civic sense have become far behind for those people.

Today there are plenty of severe issues to face in our country, where a large number of the population is difficult to manage. Law, order and justice are incapable to control rages, resources are failing to fulfill human needs. Every area of the system is full of corruption . Disparity in caste and communities and so on. People are just after materialistic gains, No values in children, pollution in air and water, lack of endurance in a generation to get everything so early. Apathy, cruelty and hatred have become part of every soul. The insensitivity in everybody has changed the meaning of humanity. How much filth has been borne in our cultural system.

How it would be possible to rectify so many areas of this country. While we talk about the land of “Maryada Purushottam” Lord Rama where the modesty of the men has lost. Are they really educated or is their education just a way of earning money?

The advancement of technology prevails everywhere as we digitize our life with the use of information, communication and gadgets. Life has been changed for the last two decades by the use of media and broadcasting. But the misuse of technology became havoc for this generation as like an epidemic has spread everywhere. Because of the lack of healthy discussions on the subject and implementing them in a right way, things are falling totally at the wrong place.

Furthermore, If we look around, conservatism and orthodoxy are more prevailing in the north region in India as compared to the south region. Because of lack of - proper education, spirituality in their mindset, blind faith of religion and majorly male dominating society, where conventional approach about life is deeply rooted in their mind, but they pretend to be modern on the basis of outer lifestyle.

What special measures need to be adopted in society and our legal system so that our future can be saved for our upcoming generations. It is necessary to teach the boys in the school curriculum how to respect the women. And the subject must be compulsory to pass them for future prospects. And the major steps need to be taken in the changing perception of rural population or backward classes, who are specially found to commit heinous crimes without any reasons. Bring the amendments in the judiciary system and our social system. The result will surely be extraordinary.

Nirbhaya : The Mirror of Our Society

Nirbhaya : The Mirror of Our Society-
Disaster of Humanity

We are living in the 21st century and feel proud to be an Indian the biggest democracy of the world. We are pursuing the developed countries in the prospects of physical development of our country. We are competing with them in the field of technology, resources and infrastructure kind of parameters. But do we really deserve to stand with them anywhere as per the quality of our lifestyle, in which society we are living today.

Do we feel safe when we sleep, awake in our homes and go on the roads, or send our children to school?  Do our women really compete with the men in the society and walk side by side with them in society. Or we are living in the deception of being civilized in the curtains of fashionable panorama. All the questions strike in our mind, when we realize the daily encounters of life.

Nirbhaya case raised the questions upon us. And compel ourselves to think over it. It is the eye opening for all of the civilized citizens of this country. When we are playing our roles to be modernised and being advanced with the time and the race of the entire world. Then such cases shake our foundation. Nirbhaya case which has shocked not only our nation, but the entire world by showing the reality of humanity. It makes us ashamed to be human beings, where gender attack has become the curse of our society.

These kinds of cases are published in the newspaper or in the media every other day. But all people sitting in the power positions are unable to stop them being handicapped in the name of their own self means.  Our government can handle the terrorists, traitors, thieves, dacoits and major international issues. Even it can handle the underworld dons, but in the name of crime against women the government becomes helpless despite being all the power in hand.

The reason behind such cases is such a critical issue which lies in our society and communities, where we have been taught from our childhood that men are better than women. This seed of discrimination in our society is older, more than centuries, which lies in our culture, rituals and perception of every mind.

When the boy born, people feel happy and satisfied no matter what he will be in his life when get older. But when the girl is born, they have one worry in their mind about how she will get married when they become adolescents. The other reason is the difference between rural and urban societies, which is the major reason for such  cases.

As we all know 70% of India has a rural area, and major part of the population comes from these areas and mixes with the urban societies who come from the small villages in search of employment in big metro cities. If we take a look at the rural societies they still have a very backward mental state, regressive approach and male dominating societies, after being modernized on the basis of luxuries and comforts on the monetary basis. Women in rural areas still stay under veils and work in a clumsy manner. They follow the traditional practices. While in metro cities women live in a modern, glamorous and free outlook, which is the part of interest for the men who come from the rural societies. And that's why they justified themselves to be lusty on the basis of clothes women wear in the city’s culture.

And on the other way conservatism and orthodox is in the blood of our society, no matter how much we pretend to be modern but when we behave, it reflects in our actions and perceptions. The cities are quite influenced by western culture while people coming from rural areas are not meant to assimilate this cultural difference in our society. Their lack of education and civic sense formed their perverted mind, distorted thinking and criminal tendency in them.

The other reason is there is no fear of law and system in their mind. And even they are not God fearing because of not getting any religious and moral lessons in life. They see the woman's body as so much of curiosity like they are not from this planet or a habitant of some other planet. Because there is no any kind of sex education and body education being provided to them in their childhood. And they feel women as an object of enjoyment. They are unable to associate themselves with the women as a person or a real human being.

They never get the environment to be part of good communities and societies, where they can learn some manners to behave themselves. Most of them come from labor class or blue collar job employees, who have a dangerous kind of attitude towards women. Even if they are from the cities, there are some evil elements hidden in their mind towards women, which comes out in the form of exploiting women in many ways in the work area or domestic environment.

The other major reason is the influence of cinema and the internet, where watching adult content has become so easy even children can easily access them, which creates a sick mentality and psychologically corrupt their mind. And in Indian movies love making scenes has always become a part of the entertainment, which makes the seducing an interest of the younger generation.

Thereafter, the final reason as we all are seeing today in the loopholes of our judiciary system, where escaping from the punishment is so easy in the name of human rights even after committing such heinous crimes. After getting all the evidence and proving these criminals to be convicted, they have options to escape and stay safe.

The issue is psychological, which is deeply rooted in man’s mind. Overall, if we see the core of the subject the issue lies in our cultural system which comes in the form of criminality towards the female gender which is the other part of their own selves. As Men and Women are the part of the same entity.

Like Ardha Narishwara, Lord Shiva and Parvati, The men born from women and women born from men, who can imagine the world without other gender. The conclusion is the understanding of simple fundamentals of nature is not easy for men because they are born with the false pride of manhood. The scenario behind the structure of the society was prejudiced since the human kind was born and up to coming this era, it took its gruesome form which had been reflected in cases like Nirbhaya.

Nirbhaya case frightened every woman like making her sense that I may also be the next at her place tomorrow. I am still afraid to see buses today. Because that dark night comes into my mind with the whole terrible picture. No woman can even think in a dream of such brutality with her. These crimes compel us to think over who gave men the right to decide our clothes, lifestyle and destiny.

So there is a need to reform our society, culture, traditions and manipulations. Seek the knowledge of humankind, which is genuine, authentic, scientific and practical, not only on the basis of shallow face of society decide the rules to govern the society. Don’t presume to be world only from your eyes.It is a home for entire living beings created by God.

Keep it safe, clean, beautiful and peaceful as the paradise. Live and let live others.

In the end my heartiest prayers are for Nirbhaya and her family.
May her soul rest in peace and get justice as soon as possible

And the criminals get the right punishment for their actions.
